    What is the cashless system?

    Cashless is a digital system that simplifies payment processes at the festival. It replaces the Glücks-Token from previous years and is the only way to pay at the festival (with a few exceptions such as our merch stores – where card payments are also accepted). 

    The cashless system consists of the new digital Glücks-Coins (GC), which are stored on the chip of your festival wristband and can be used to pay across the entire festival grounds. 

    To ensure maximum convenience, you can top up Glücks-Coins before the festival. These will then be automatically transferred to your festival wristband at the main entrance of the GLÜCKSGEFÜHLE Festival after your ticket has been scanned.

    Are there still tokens?

    No. Your festival wristband with the digital Glücks-Coins is the only accepted payment method at the festival. 
    The wristband is personal and non-transferable.

    How can I top up cashless credit (Glücks-Coins) onto my festival wristband?

    Before the festival: 
    If you already have a ticket, you can top up your credit online by creating an account on our website or in our app and linking your festival ticket. Please note that you can only link your festival ticket, not your camping ticket or other extras. 

    At the festival entrance or campsite entrance, your festival ticket will be scanned and your credit will be transferred from your ticket to your festival wristband. 

    We strongly recommend topping up credit in advance to avoid waiting times and a service fee of €2.30, so you can enjoy the festival to the fullest. 

    The service fee only applies if you have not created a cashless account or topped up credit before the festival. Once you have done this once in advance, you can top up again at the festival free of charge at any time. 

    During the festival: 
    Online: 
    You can continue topping up credit online during the festival – anytime and as often as you like. 

    If you top up on-site for the first time, you can simply scan the QR code on your wristband with your phone and add credit without registering. 

    Please note that a service fee of €2.30 applies at the festival if you have not topped up any credit before the start of the festival. 

    Physical top-up: 
    You can also top up credit at machines using card payment or at staffed cash desks with cash. Please note that no change can be given at cash desks – the full amount you pay will be loaded onto your account. After the festival, you can of course request a refund of your remaining balance. 

    To avoid queues and ensure maximum convenience, we recommend online top-ups.

    How do I create a cashless account?

    Register: 
    Create your cashless account via our website or app by entering your email address and name. 

    Link: 
    Link your festival ticket (not your camping ticket or extras) to your account by entering the barcode number of your ticket. 

    Top up: 
    Choose an amount and complete the payment process.

    Why should I top up credit in advance?

    By creating a cashless account and topping up Glücks-Coins before the festival, you benefit from the following advantages: 

    • You can top up credit online in advance and save time at the festival.  

    • You do not have to pay the €2.30 service fee.  

    • You can view your balance and transactions in your account during the festival.  

    • After the festival, you can request a refund of your remaining balance without needing to relink your wristband.  

    • You can block your wristband more easily if it is lost.

    What happens if my balance runs out?

    No problem – you can top up additional Glücks-Coins at any time, either online or on-site at machines or staffed cash desks.

    Where do I get my festival wristband?

    You will receive your wristband at the festival entrance or at the campsites. If you have topped up credit in advance, it will be automatically available on your wristband.

    Are there any costs?

    If you top up credit before the festival, there are no costs. 

    A service fee of €2.30 only applies if you have not created a cashless account or topped up credit before the festival. Once you have done this once in advance, you can top up additional credit at the festival free of charge at any time. 

    Refunding your remaining balance is of course free of charge.

    How do I check my balance?

    Online via your account, at any sales point, or at a cashless station (machines or staffed counters). 
    Note: Data may not always be in real time depending on internet connectivity.

    Do I have access to my transactions?

    Yes, online via your cashless account. You can also download receipts there. 
    Without an account, you can request the information at a cashless station.

    What happens if I lose my wristband?

    With a cashless account, you can have your wristband blocked at a cashless station. 
    Important: Without an account, we need your ticket barcode. Without it, we cannot clearly assign your wristband and balance.

    What happens if my wristband is too tight or breaks?

    Do not cut it! Damaged wristbands will not be accepted. 
    Go to a cashless station – they will help you there.

    Can the wristband get wet?

    Yes, the wristband is waterproof.

    Can I share my wristband?

    No, the wristband is personalized, non-transferable, and cannot be shared. However, you can add multiple tickets to one account and, for example, also top up your partner’s balance. 
    Of course, you can use your wristband to buy drinks for your friends.

    How does the deposit system work?

    Our deposit system remains in place. When you return cups, you will receive the corresponding number of digital Glücks-Coins credited back to your wristband. 

    Please note: During the entire festival period, you can return a maximum of 10 more cups than you have purchased. 
    Example: If you have purchased 10 drinks, you can return a maximum of 20 cups/cans.

    What happens to remaining balance after the festival?

    Starting 07/09/2026 at 6:00 PM, you can request a free refund of your remaining balance for a limited period. 

    To do so, you must create a cashless account (if you haven’t already) and enter the 6-digit code of your wristband. If you already have an account, simply log in and request the refund. 

    Keep your wristband! Only with it can you claim your remaining balance. 
    Important: You cannot use your balance again next year.

    When can I withdraw my balance?

    You can only withdraw your balance after the festival during the refund period, which begins on 07/09/2026 at 6:00 PM. 
    The refund is of course free of charge.

    What happens if a ticket is resold?

    If you resell your ticket via the official resale shop and have already topped up credit, this credit will not be transferred to the new buyer. It remains assigned to your original ticket, which is cancelled upon resale. 

    You can request a refund of your already topped-up balance during the refund period after the festival. Please note that this only applies to sales via the official resale shop. 

    Important: Keep your original ticket information or cashless account details so you can request the refund later.

    How does bonus credit work?

    If you have received bonus credit from us or our partners through marketing campaigns, you can only use it at the festival once your regular balance has been fully used. 

    In addition, bonus credit cannot be refunded after the event.
